Omokoroa Environmental Managers Inc (OEMI) supports local environmental groups working to protect and restore the Ōmokoroa Peninsula. From native planting and pest control to bird monitoring and community gardening, our volunteers care for the land, estuary and reserves of our growing coastal community.
What We Do
What We Do
OEMI is the umbrella organisation supporting a network of community groups across Ōmokoroa. Together we:
• Restore estuaries and reserves
• Run native planting and weeding days
• Operate predator control programmes
• Monitor and protect local birdlife
• Support the community garden
• Encourage local environmental action
Whether you’re new to the peninsula or have lived here for years, there’s a group you can join.
Volunteers of all ages and experience levels are welcome.
